Yashasvi Jaiswal Withdraws NOC, Will Play for Mumbai Again
Yashasvi Jaiswal withdraws NOC, set to play for Mumbai again in 2025-26 domestic season after brief Goa switch plan

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the star Indian cricketer, is back with the Mumbai team. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has approved his request to cancel the No Objection Certificate (NOC). Now, he can play for Mumbai in the next domestic cricket season.
Ajinkya Naik, the president of Mumbai Cricket Association, confirmed the news. He told The Indian Express, “We have accepted Jaiswal’s withdrawal of NOC application and he will be available for Mumbai during the forthcoming domestic season.”
Jaiswal had earlier planned to shift to Goa. In April, he surprised the Mumbai Cricket Association by asking for a No Objection Certificate to move. At that time, Goa had reached the knockout stage of the Ranji Trophy. He was offered a leadership role there.
“Goa has thrown me a new opportunity and has offered me a leadership role. My first goal will be to do well for India, and whenever I’m not on national duty, I will be playing for Goa and try to make them go deep into the tournament,” Jaiswal had told The Indian Express.
But later, Jaiswal changed his mind. In May, he wrote an email to MCA saying he wanted to withdraw the NOC. He said he was now ready to play for Mumbai again.
In the email, Jaiswal said, “I, the undersigned, would request your goodself to consider my request in withdrawing my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa, which for now has been curtailed.”
Jaiswal is currently in England. He is playing in a five-Test series for India. He started the series strongly by scoring a century at Headingley. But his innings was overshadowed by four dropped catches.
