WPL 2025 Schedule Announced: Lucknow Among Host Cities for the First Time

Here's the schedule for Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. The third edition of the world’s top women’s T20 league will take place in four cities: Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai.

Tournament Kicks Off in Baroda

The WPL 2025 will start on 14th February at the newly built BCA Stadium in Baroda. The opening match will feature the Gujarat Giants (GG) taking on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Baroda will host six matches before the tournament moves to Bengaluru.

RCB’s Bengaluru Matches

RCB will play their first home game on 21st February against Mumbai Indians (MI), winners of the inaugural WPL season. They will play three more games at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, facing UP Warriorz (24th February), Gujarat Giants (27th February), and Delhi Capitals (1st March).

Lucknow Joins as a New Venue

For the first time, Lucknow will host WPL matches, with the UP Warriorz (UPW) playing three games at their home ground from 3rd March.

Final Leg in Mumbai

The tournament’s final leg will be held in Mumbai. The Cricket Club of India (CCI) will host the last two league matches and the playoffs. MI will conclude the league stage with back-to-back games against GG (10th March) and RCB (11th March).

Playoffs and Grand Finale

The team topping the points table will advance directly to the final. The second and third-placed teams will compete in the Eliminator on 13th March. The grand finale is scheduled for Saturday, 15th March, where the best teams will battle for the prestigious trophy.
