Women’s World Cup 2025: Who Won Yesterday’s India vs Pakistan Match?
India vs Pakistan: India Women crushed Pakistan by 88 runs in the 2025 Women’s World Cup. Deepti Sharma starred with three wickets, while Richa Ghosh’s late cameo powered India to 247 in Colombo.
India made light work of arch-rivals Pakistan in the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup clash at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, sealing an emphatic 88-run win to stay unbeaten in the tournament.
After opting to bat first, India posted a solid 247, thanks to a composed knock from Harleen Deol (46) and a fiery finish from Richa Ghosh, who smashed an unbeaten 35 off just 20 balls.
Openers Pratika Rawal (31) and Smriti Mandhana (23) provided a steady start, but both fell before converting their starts. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (19) and Jemimah Rodrigues (32) kept the scoreboard ticking, while Deepti Sharma’s 25-run cameo added vital runs down the order.
Pakistan’s bowling was led by Diana Baig, who claimed 4 for 69, including key wickets in the death overs. Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal supported her with two wickets apiece, but India’s depth in batting ensured a competitive total.
Chasing 248, Pakistan’s innings never really took off. Fast bowler Kranti Goud struck early, while Deepti Sharma’s sharp run-out created further pressure.
Sidra Amin fought a lone battle with a gritty 81 off 106 balls, adding a brief 69-run stand with Natalia Pervaiz (33), but wickets kept tumbling from the other end.
Kranti Goud (3/20) and Deepti Sharma (3/45) ran through Pakistan’s middle order, with Sneh Rana chipping in with 2/38 as Pakistan folded for just 159 in 43 overs.
With this win, India continue their dominant run in the tournament, while Pakistan are left searching for answers after yet another disappointing performance in the high-voltage Indo-Pak encounter.
