West Indies to Sack Nicholas Pooran From White-Ball Captaincy: Report
Nicholas Pooran has struggled to get runs in the recent concluded T20 World Cup 2022.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is set to sack Nicholas Pooran from the white-ball captaincy following their dreadful T20 World Cup 2022 exit, One Cricket reported on Monday, November 21.
They might appoint Rovman Powell as their new captain of the white-ball team, the report further added. Powell is the current vice-captain of West Indies’ white-ball team and he has led several teams in franchise cricket.
The Two-time champion West Indies crashed out of the showpiece in the group stage after losses to Scotland and Ireland. They beat Zimbabwe in the round-robin league and finished at the bottom of the four-team group.
