Shoaib Malik, the seasoned campaigner in T20 cricket, remains a stalwart with his cricketing prowess, however he couldn’t do much against Quetta Gladiators in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024, departing with a score of 12 off 20 deliveries.
Karachi Kings, opening the innings, witnessed an early wicket fall in the first over. Despite a promising partnership for the second wicket, their middle overs saw consistent wicket losses, and Shoaib Malik, batting at number 4, also looked struggling.
It all happened in the 13th over against Abrar Ahmed’s tossed-up off-spin. Malik danced down the track, attempting to send the ball over long off. Unfortunately, the mistimed shot landed straight into the hands of Jason Roy at the boundary.
Shoaib Malik understandably felt disheartened. However, his new wife, Sana Javed, who was actively enjoying the game, was spotted clapping on her husband’s wicket, the video of which is now getting viral on social media.
