[Watch] Pakistan Was Better Than Australia in MCG Test: Mohammad Hafeez

Australia has now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead as Pakistan lost the second Test by 79 runs.

Pakistan’s team director, Mohammad Hafeez, believes that the Pakistani team performed better than Australia in the second Test, held at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

This statement comes on Friday after Pakistan’s heartbreaking 79-run defeat against Australia in the second test. Australia has now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Here’s what Mohammad Hafeez had said in the press-conference:

“If I will sum up, Pakistan team played better than the other team, in general. Our batting intent was better, our bowling was hitting in the right areas. Yes, we made some mistakes that we lost the game but as a team, I believe there were a lot of right positives within the team. But unfortunately at the end we didn’t finish the game.”

Australia set a target of 316 runs for Pakistan to chase in the fourth innings. While the Pakistani team displayed commendable resilience, once Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed, they collapsed like a deck of cards, getting bowled out for 237 runs
