Virat Kohli’s Brother Slams Gambhir and Team Management for Dropping Virat–Rohit From Test Cricket
Vikas Kohli’s deleted post adds heat to India’s Test struggles as pressure grows on Gautam Gambhir and team management.
India’s poor run in Test cricket under Gautam Gambhir has triggered fresh debate after Vikas Kohli criticised the team management in a post that was later deleted.
India lost the second Test against South Africa by 408 runs at Guwahati. The defeat raised questions about the team’s plans, especially at home where they have been dominant for years.
Vikas Kohli, elder brother of Virat Kohli, added to the discussion with a sharp message on Threads. Even though he did not name anyone, his words pointed towards frustration with recent decisions taken by the management.
He wrote, “There was a time that we played to win even in overseas conditions. Now we are playing to save the match, even in India. This is what happens when u try to boss around and change things unnecessary which were not broken…”
His post was deleted soon after, but not before fans noticed and began discussing whether it was a direct dig at Gambhir.
The timing of his message has become a talking point. Many fans feel the constant changes in combinations and roles have unsettled the team. Some believe the shift in approach since Gambhir took over has not worked in the longest format.
India’s senior players have not spoken publicly about the criticism. However, the growing chatter online shows that the disappointment among fans is rising with every poor session on the field.
