Virat Kohli Reveals 3 Toughest Bowlers He Has Faced Across Formats

Virat Kohli has named James Anderson, Sunil Narine, and Lasith Malinga as the toughest bowlers he has faced in his cricket career.

Virat Kohli, one of the greatest cricketers of this generation, has finally revealed the names of the bowlers who gave him the toughest time in his career. The star Indian batter, who has dominated world cricket across formats, opened up about this during a recent interaction.

Kohli, who retired from T20 internationals after guiding India to the T20 World Cup 2024 title in the USA, picked mystery spinner Sunil Narine as the toughest bowler he has faced in T20 cricket. According to him, Narine has troubled him consistently over the years and remains difficult to face even now.

For Test cricket, Kohli did not hesitate to call England’s veteran pacer James Anderson as the most challenging opponent. Especially in English conditions, Kohli admitted that Anderson has been, by far, the toughest bowler he has come across in red-ball cricket.

When it comes to ODIs, Kohli named two bowlers. He mentioned Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga as a difficult bowler he faced in the early years. At the same time, he rated England’s Adil Rashid as probably the toughest spinner he has come across in the 50-over format.
