Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik took to social media to express his strong criticism of the national team’s batting approach following their 23-run defeat against England in the second T20I.
Malik criticized the constant shuffling of the batting order, stating, “This is not PSL, this is international cricket that too, just before T20 World Cup.”
He proposed a more settled batting line-up, suggesting Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan as openers, followed by Babar Azam at number 3 to play a stabilizing role.
Shoaib Malik then advocated for promoting Azam Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed to bat at number 4 and 5 respectively, allowing them time to build their innings before going for big shots.
