Team India aims to overcome their historic ICC trophy drought by clinching the championship at the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean & USA, commencing June 1.
As of now, no team has announced its squad for the biennial ICC tournament. However, India is expected to finalize their squad for the prestigious event by May 1.
Deadline for T20 World Cup 2024 Squad Announcement
According to a Sports Tak report, the BCCI along with the senior India selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar is set to announce the 15-member Indian squad along with reserves, one month prior to the tournament.
Notably, May 1 appears to be the probable deadline for all teams to finalise their squads.
No Changes In T20 World Cup 2024 Squad After May 25
Moreover, the report clarifies that the squad announced initially is provisional and open to modifications and strategic adjustments until May 25. However, any changes after the end of May must be sanctioned by the ICC Technical Committee.
