The Afghanistan cricket team is encountering an unusual problem in Barbados ahead of their Super 8 match against India in the T20 World Cup 2024.
According to Sports Tak, the players and support staff have had to cook their own meals because they are unable to find Halal food at the team hotel.
The need to arrange Halal food from locals is taking a toll on their preparations for the important match against India, as the task has been quite challenging.
Notably, Afghanistan secured their place in the Super 8s by winning three of their four Group C matches, joining India, Australia, and Bangladesh. Their only defeat came against West Indies.
Afghanistan has faced defeat in 7 out of 8 T20 internationals against India, with 1 match ending in a draw. However, coach Jonathan Trott is positive about his team’s ability to cause an upset.
