‘Sympathy Game’ – Andhra Pradesh Cricketer Prudhvi Raj Replies to Hanuma Vihari’s Allegations
Hanuma Vihari said he was asked to resign as captain after a fight with a player.
Following allegations from Hanuma Vihari regarding his involvement in the removal of Vihari’s captaincy, Andhra Pradesh cricketer Prudhvi Raj has issued a statement, asserting that he has been wrongly accused by his teammate.
Earlier, Vihari, in a lengthy statement on Instagram, said that he was asked to resign after a verbal exchange with Prudhvi Raj, whose father, who is a politician by profession, complained to the Andhra Pradesh cricket association.
Following Andhra’s heartbreaking loss by just 4 runs to Madhya Pradesh in the quarterfinals of the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, Vihari announced his decision to step down. With 37 First-Class games under his belt for Andhra and a stint at Hyderabad, Vihari contemplated his future.
