Suryakumar Yadav Fails NCA Fitness Test; Set To Miss IPL 2024 for Mumbai Indians
Suryakumar Yadav has failed to clear fitness test at NCA.
Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, it appears that the Mumbai Indians (MI) have suffered another injury setback as their premier batter, Suryakumar Yadav, has failed to clear the medical examination at the NCA.
This means that Suryakumar Yadav will have to undergo another test, scheduled for March 21st, just one day before the start of IPL 2024. If he fails to clear the medical, he will miss the first few games for the Mumbai Indians.
Notably, the Mumbai Indians will commence their IPL 2024 campaign against the Gujarat Titans on March 24th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. If Suryakumar Yadav remains unfit and is not included in the squad by then, it will be a significant blow for the five-time champions.
Earlier, Jason Behrendorff withdrew from the entire IPL 2024 due to injury, and Mumbai Indians named Luke Wood as his replacement. The left-arm pacer has already joined the squad in Mumbai.
