During a heated debate on Samaa TV, Yousuf deliberately distorted Suryakumar’s name, repeatedly calling him a “pig.”

One anchor tried to politely correct him, assuming it was a slip of the tongue, but Yousuf ignored the reminder and continued his tirade. Another anchor responded with a smirk, further fuelling controversy.

Yousuf then accused India of manipulating the match through biased umpiring and the match referee.

“Ye Suar Kumar jo hai… Suar Kumar Yadav. India should be ashamed of the way they are trying to win. They’ve got the umpires in cahoots, using the referee to torture Pakistan. They’ve probably given the umpire’s finger to Modi; it just wouldn’t get up whenever we appealed,” Yousuf alleged.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also been vocal in its criticism since the match ended, accusing match referee Andy Pycroft of siding with India.

Reports suggest the PCB even approached the ICC to remove Pycroft from the tournament, a demand the governing body has dismissed.
