SRH Released Players List Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction
SRH likely to release Shami, Klaasen, and others to free budget for IPL 2026, retaining Cummins, Head, and key young all-rounders.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are preparing for a major squad shake-up before the IPL 2026 mini-auction after finishing sixth in the 2025 season. With the retention deadline set for November 15, 2025, reports suggest that the franchise will look to release several high-priced and inconsistent players to free up their budget.
SRH are aiming to rebuild with a younger group, while keeping their top performers and strong overseas leadership intact.
SRH Released Players List Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction
Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami, who cost ₹10 crore in 2025, is expected to be released after an underwhelming season. SRH may turn to younger Indian fast bowlers to lead the attack.
Despite being one of the team’s top scorers, Heinrich Klaasen might be released because of his massive ₹23 crore salary. Releasing him could open up a huge portion of the purse for multiple auction buys.
Another big name on the likely release list is Ishan Kishan. Bought for ₹11.25 crore, his form dipped sharply mid-season. SRH could try to re-buy him at a lower price if available.
Pacer Harshal Patel, who carried a big combined salary load with Shami, is also likely to be released after inconsistent performances.
Among overseas players, Adam Zampa is expected to be let go after a tough year marked by injury concerns and expensive spells. Simarjeet Singh also struggled with high economy rates and may be released along with overseas all-rounder Wiaan Mulder, who had limited impact.
Domestic players Abhinav Manohar and Sachin Baby are also likely exits as SRH reshape their bench strength.
SRH will continue to build around their promising Indian group, with Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy expected to stay on after impressive all-round performances in 2025.
In the overseas core, captain Pat Cummins will lead the new-look squad again. Explosive opener Travis Head is also set to be retained after another strong season at the top of the order.
SRH will head into the Abu Dhabi mini-auction with a clear plan to rebuild their middle order, strengthen the spin attack, and add fresh firepower in the pace department.
