The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will felicitate her with a gold-plated bat and ball in recognition of her outstanding performance in India’s historic title win.

The 21-year-old from Siliguri was one of India’s key players during the tournament, playing crucial knocks under pressure and helping the team lift their first-ever Women’s World Cup.

CAB president Sourav Ganguly confirmed that he will personally honour Richa at the Eden ceremony.

“Richa Ghosh has shown remarkable composure and courage on the world stage. She’s an inspiration to every young cricketer in Bengal,” Ganguly said.

The gold bat and ball will carry the signatures of both Ganguly and Jhulan Goswami, two of Bengal’s greatest cricketing figures. CAB said the gifts symbolise not just Ghosh’s achievement but also Bengal’s pride in her success.

The association described Richa as “a shining example of determination and fearless cricket,” calling her journey from Siliguri to world champion an inspiration for every aspiring girl in the state.

This felicitation is part of CAB’s new effort to promote women’s cricket and reward excellence among Bengal players. Ganguly also said the board aims to celebrate local talent that achieves global success, making Ghosh’s recognition a special moment for Bengal cricket.
