“Shahid Afridi Asked Me to Convert to Islam” – Pakistani Hindu Cricketer Makes Shocking Revelation

Danish Kaneria revealed that Shahid Afridi and others mistreated him in Pakistan and even asked him to convert, forcing him to leave the country.

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has once again exposed the ugly face of Pakistan cricket. He has revealed how players like Shahid Afridi mistreated him badly and made his life difficult, forcing him to leave the country.

Kaneria, who has always spoken openly against the wrongdoings in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), shared how Afridi tried to push him towards religious conversion and even refused to eat with him.

Calling Afridi’s actions disrespectful, Kaneria said on his X account:

“He has consistently aligned himself with extremist views. In my opinion, he should not be given a platform on Indian television or within the country. Additionally, he tried to persuade me to convert to Islam and declined to share a meal with me, which I found deeply disrespectful.”

This is not the first time Kaneria has spoken about the communal mindset inside Pakistan cricket. He has been very blunt about how things work in their system and how players like him were sidelined for religious reasons.

Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan captain, once again stirred controversy with his shameful statement on the Kashmir issue.

Speaking about the Pahalgam attacks, Afridi said:

“The terrorists kept on killing people, but nobody from the Indian army intervened. Later, they blamed Pakistan. They commit blunders and put the blame on us.”

The Pahalgam attack, which took place on April 22, 2025, left the whole of India in anger. In this tragic incident, 26 unarmed civilians, mostly tourists, lost their lives. The attack was claimed by The Resistance Front, which is linked to the ISI-backed LeT group.
