Selfish Shubman Gill Slammed for Not Letting Yashasvi Jaiswal Complete His Century Against Zimbabwe

Yashasvi Jaiswal fell just seven run short of his century against Zimbabwe in the 4th T20I

The Shubman Gill-led Indian cricket team has taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe by beating them by 10 wickets in the fourth T20I on Saturday, July 13.

However, following Team India’s win, fans seemed unhappy with captain Shubman Gill and lambasted him with the tag of selfish for not letting Yashasvi Jaiswal complete his century.

Asked to chase the modest target of 153 runs, Team India got off to a flying start, courtesy of opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who looked in superb touch and ended unbeaten with 93 runs off 53 balls.

Jaiswal narrowly missed out on his century by just seven runs, while Shubman Gill remained unbeaten with 58 runs off 39 deliveries.

Meanwhile, fans feel that Shubman Gill should have allowed Yashasvi Jaiswal to complete his century instead of finishing the match himself.

Let’s take a look at some of the reactions:
