Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana Added to India’s Squad for First Two T20Is vs Zimbabwe
There has been delay in the arrival of the Indian cricket team from Barbados.
The men’s senior selection committee has included Sai Sudharsan, Harshit Rana, and Jitesh Sharma in the India squad for the first two T20Is against Zimbabwe, as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, Khaleel Ahmed, and Rinku Singh are still stuck in Barbados.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed, who were part of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup team, are still in Barbados due to a hurricane. They will now travel to India with the rest of the squad before heading to Harare.
India’s departure from the Caribbean has been delayed, with the team now set to leave on Tuesday evening (local time) instead of the originally scheduled Monday. They will be taking a direct charter flight from Barbados to New Delhi.
The entire Indian contingent, including players, families, support staff, and BCCI officials, will be on the charter flight. With commercial flight options still uncertain, the safest course of action is to return the players heading to Zimbabwe to India first.
