Farhan had raised eyebrows when he reached his half-century with a six off Axar Patel and pointed his bat like a rifle towards the dugout. The gesture quickly went viral and drew sharp reactions on social media.

Speaking before Pakistan’s next match against Sri Lanka, Farhan said the celebration was not planned. He explained that it happened in the heat of the moment and insisted he was not worried about how it was received.

“I don’t usually celebrate after a fifty, but that day it just came to me. I don’t know how people will take it, and honestly, I don’t mind. The main thing is to play aggressive cricket, no matter who the opponent is,” Farhan told reporters.

The right-hander added that fans should expect more of the same when he clears the ropes. “When it comes to hitting sixes, you’ll see a lot more of that in the future,” he said with a smile.

Farhan stressed that Pakistan’s mindset should be the same against every team, not just India. “It’s not about being aggressive only against India. We should maintain this approach against every side,” he said.
