The Indian national cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has become the first player in T20I cricket to reach 200 sixes, thanks to his powerful knock against Australia in the Super 8 encounter in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
Rohit Sharma scored 92 runs off 41 balls, hitting seven boundaries and eight sixes, breaking several records in the process. His 4 sixes came in one over against Mitchell Starc. He cleared the covers for the first two, then sent one over deep mid-wicket.
By hitting his fifth six, Rohit Sharma has become the first batter to achieve 200 sixes in T20I cricket. He now totals 203 sixes in 149 innings.
