Ritika Sajdeh Deletes Her Instagram Post in Support of Palestinians After Severe Backlash on Social Media

After receiving criticism from social media users, Ritika Sajdeh, spouse of Indian cricket skipper Rohit Sharma, decided to take down her controversial Instagram post.

Ritika shared a photo of Rafah, a city in the Gaza Strip hit by an Israeli missile strike that killed over 40 people. Her story, captioned ‘All eyes on Rafah,’ was also reposted by Bollywood actors like Varun Dhawan and Triptii Dimri.

However, netizens pointed out that these celebrities often remain silent on issues affecting Indians abroad, but prefer to express solidarity with foreign causes. In response to the backlash, Ritika deleted her Instagram story just hours after posting it.

Ritika was a regular in IPL 2024, where she ardently supported Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians. Unfortunately, the team had a disappointing season, finishing last in the league.
