RCB Cruise Past DC by Eight Wickets to Stay Perfect in WPL 2026

Smriti Mandhana’s 96 powers RCB to an eight-wicket win over DC, keeping them unbeaten and top of the WPL 2026 table.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women extended their winning run to four matches in the WPL 2026 with a thumping eight-wicket win over Delhi Capitals Women at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. RCB chased down the 167-run target with ease, finishing the game with 10 balls to spare.

After winning the toss, Delhi Capitals chose to bat but their innings got off to a nightmare start. They lost four wickets for just 10 runs inside the first two overs, putting immediate pressure on the middle order and leaving the side struggling early.

Despite the collapse, Shafali Verma fought back with a brave knock. She scored 62 runs off 41 balls, showing intent and calm while wickets kept falling at the other end.

Towards the finish, debutant Lucy Hamilton added valuable runs with a quick 36 off 19 balls. Her late cameo helped Delhi Capitals reach a fighting total of 166 all out after looking set for much less.

RCB’s bowling attack kept things tight throughout. Lauren Bell and Sayali Satghare were the pick of the bowlers, picking up three wickets each and never allowing DC to build big partnerships.

In reply, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana produced one of the finest knocks of the season. She smashed 96 runs off 61 balls, falling just short of becoming the first centurion in WPL history.

Mandhana found perfect support in Georgia Voll, who stayed unbeaten on 54 off 42 balls. The pair added a massive 142 runs for the second wicket, completely taking the game away from Delhi Capitals.

RCB crossed the line comfortably, underlining their strong form in the Navi Mumbai leg. With this win, Royal Challengers Bengaluru remain on top of the points table, while Delhi Capitals sit at the bottom after their third loss in four matches.
