R Ashwin Shuts Down Virat Kohli Fans Who Claim He Has ‘Blessed’ Ranji Trophy By Playing Delhi vs Railways Match
Ashwin also lauded Himanshu Sangwan, who dismissed Virat Kohli in Ranji Trophy match.

Virat Kohli made his return to the Ranji Trophy after 12 years but had a quiet outing. He scored just six runs in 15 balls. However, despite his low score, Delhi won the match against Railways by an innings and 19 runs.
Ashwin, who recently retired from international cricket, praised Kohli’s return and said he still has a lot to offer to Indian cricket. But he didn’t like the idea of fans calling the tournament “blessed” just because Kohli played. He reminded people of the long history of the Ranji Trophy and asked them to respect its legacy.
Ashwin Praises Kohli’s Passion and the Ranji Trophy’s Legacy
Ravichandran Ashwin praised Virat Kohli for his hard work and love for Test cricket. He said that Kohli’s passion to do well in Test cricket is unmatched. Ashwin believes that Kohli still has much more to contribute.
Ashwin also pointed out that Kohli’s return to the Ranji Trophy attracted a large crowd, and he believes every Ranji match should have this kind of support.
However, Ashwin also responded to a tweet that called the Ranji Trophy “blessed” by Kohli’s participation. He said people need to remember the tournament’s long history.
“The Ranji Trophy has been around for many years as an important domestic competition. People should understand its legacy,” Ashwin said.
