Punjab Kings Star Priyansh Arya Becomes First Player to Score Three Hundreds in DPL
Priyansh Arya creates history by becoming the first player to score three centuries in Delhi Premier League, smashing 111 off 56 balls for Outer Delhi Warriors
Priyansh Arya, one of India’s most promising T20 prospects, has etched his name in Delhi Premier League history by becoming the first batter to score three centuries in the tournament’s brief but competitive run.
The stylish left-hander roared back into form with a breathtaking knock of 111 off just 56 balls against East Delhi Riders.
Opening the innings for Outer Delhi Warriors, Arya tore apart the opposition bowling, smashing 9 sixes and 7 fours in a display of controlled aggression.
His innings helped the Warriors post 231/7, a commanding total on paper, but one that would eventually not be enough.
He shared a quickfire 92-run partnership off 46 balls with Karan Garg, who also impressed with a 24-ball 43. Arya brought up his hundred in the 17th over, before being dismissed by Akhil Chaudhary.
This ton was Arya’s third in the DPL,the previous two came during the 2024 season, where he was also the tournament’s standout performer.
Last year, he amassed 608 runs in 10 innings at a staggering average of 67.56, which earned him an IPL contract with Punjab Kings. He made an immediate impact there as well, scoring 475 runs in 17 innings at an eye-popping strike rate of 179.25.
However, Arya had a quiet start in the 2025 DPL, with scores of 26, 16, and 8 in the first three matches. But against East Delhi Riders, he flipped the script with a match-defining knock, although it ultimately came in a losing cause.
The East Delhi Riders pulled off the biggest successful chase of the DPL 2025 season. Anuj Rawat played a blinder, smashing 84 off 35 balls.
He was ably supported by Mayank Rawat, who finished the game with a blazing 32 not out off just 11 balls, taking their side over the line in a high-octane chase.
