PSL 2023: Quetta Gladiators Release Naseem Shah Ahead of PSL 8 Draft

PSL 2023: Naseem Shah made his Pakistan debut earlier in August against India.

The owner of Quetta Gladiators, Nadeem Omar, on Friday (November 11) confirmed that they have released Naseem Shah from the franchise ahead of the PSL 8 Draft.

The young fast bowler from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa made his international debut against the arch-rivals India in Asia Cup 2022, where he impressed one and all with his fiery pace and stellar bowling performance.

Shah returned with an impressive figure of 2/27 in four overs in his T20I debut and since then he has never looked back. In 15 T20I matches he played for Pakistan so far, he has picked 14 wickets at an economy of 7.14 and an average of 28.14.

Nadeem Omar also confirmed that the 19-year-old pacer will now be up for grabs in the PSL 8 Draft. All six franchises have been asked to retain up to eight players from their 2022 squads before the Draft, set to take place later this month.

The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is scheduled to kick start on February 9 with the final of the tournament set to be played on March 19.
