PSL 2023: Multan Sultans Hit by Injury Blow as Another Pacer Forced Out of Tournament
Multan Sultans, despite two back-to-back blows, have managed to retain their top spot in the points table.
Multan Sultans have been dealt another blow as their fast bowler Josh Little has been ruled out of the ongoing eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to an injury picked up in South Africa.
The loss of Josh Little has dealt a significant blow to the Mohammad Rizwan-led side, particularly as they are already without their main fast bowler, Shahnawaz Dahani, who was also ruled out of the event due to injury.
The management of Multan Sultans is currently exploring options for a replacement, but they have yet to finalise a decision. They are currently sitting at the top of the PSL points table with four wins from five matches.
The left-arm fast bowler was a standout player for Ireland in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 held in Australia, picking up 11 wickets in just seven matches, with a notable hat-trick against New Zealand.
Earlier, he made headlines by becoming the first Irish cricketer to be signed by an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. The upcoming season will see the 23-year-old cricketer donning the jersey of defending champions, Gujarat Titans.
