Pakistan To Face India On September 21 Again After Super 4 Qualification in Asia Cup 2025
Pakistan beat UAE by 41 runs to qualify for the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s. They will face India on September 21 in Dubai in a high-voltage clash.
Pakistan sealed their spot in the Super 4s of the Asia Cup 2025 after defeating the United Arab Emirates by 41 runs in a must-win Group A clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, September 17.
Batting first, Pakistan struggled in patches but managed 146/9 in their 20 overs, thanks to a brisk half-century from Fakhar Zaman and a late cameo by Shaheen Afridi.
In reply, UAE folded for just 105 in 17.4 overs, with Shaheen, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed sharing the spoils with the ball.
With this win, Pakistan secured a top-two finish in Group A, ensuring their progression to the next stage.
The Super 4s will now witness a high-voltage clash as Pakistan take on arch-rivals India on Sunday, September 21, at the same venue.
The two teams met earlier in the group stage, where Suryakumar Yadav’s men outclassed Pakistan by seven wickets. Salman Ali Agha’s side will be desperate to avenge that loss.
Apart from the India showdown, Pakistan will also face the top two sides from Group B, where Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are still in contention.
The qualification scenario will be decided after Thursday’s clash between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi.
