Pakistan To Announce T20 World Cup 2024 On This Date

Babar Azam will be leading Pakistan in the upcoming T2 World Cup 2024 squad.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is fast approaching, with the tournament kicking off on June 1st in the co-hosted venues of the West Indies and the United States of America. While 19 out of the 20 participating teams have already unveiled their squads, Pakistan remains the lone exception.

Reports suggest that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is finally set to announce their 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 on May 24th. PCB delayed the announcement as they were closely monitoring player fitness and form.

Prior to the World Cup, Pakistan had a busy schedule with seven T20 matches planned. This series of matches allowed the selectors to assess player performance and make informed decisions.

Pakistan emerged victorious in their recent three-match T20 series against Ireland, winning 2-1. However, the first match of their ongoing four-match T20I series against England was unfortunately washed out.

With a significant portion of the pre-tournament matches now complete, the selectors likely have a clearer picture of player form and fitness. This will allow them to finalize the squad with confidence.
