ODI World Cup 2023: Shadab Khan to Miss New Zealand Match, Abrar Ahmed as Replacement – Report
Shadab Khan's availability for the match against New Zealand is doubtful
Pakistan’s vice-captain and all-rounder, Shadab Khan, may not be available for the upcoming match against New Zealand, given his ongoing recovery from a concussion suffered in the match against South Africa.
There are recent reports indicating that Abrar Ahmed may step in to replace Khan in their high-stakes game, while the PCB medical team and team management will assess the senior all-rounder’s condition in an effort to keep him in the playing XI.
Pakistan has won three games out of seven matches they have played so far in the tournament. The upcoming match against New Zealand is a do-or-die game for both teams if they want to stay in the race for the semifinals.
