Skipper Nitish Rana stole the show with a blistering 79* that ensured his side’s maiden DPL crown.

Central Delhi Kings Post 173 On The Board

Put into bat, the Kings posted a competitive 173/7 in 20 overs. Yugal Saini anchored the innings with a well-crafted 65 off 48 balls, while Pranshu Vijayran provided late fireworks with a blazing 50* off just 24 deliveries, striking four sixes.

For West Delhi, Manan Bhardwaj (2/11) and Shivank Vashisht (2/28) applied the brakes, preventing the Kings from crossing 180 despite their strong finish.

Rana’s Power-Packed Reply

The Lions’ chase began on a shaky note at 15/2 inside two overs. But Rana turned the tide with a captain’s knock, smashing seven sixes and four fours in his 49-ball unbeaten 79.

He found able support in Hrithik Shokeen, who chipped in with an unbeaten 42 off 27 balls.

The pair added an unbroken 103-run stand, sealing victory with 12 balls to spare. Shokeen fittingly ended proceedings with a towering six as West Delhi finished on 176/4.

For Central Delhi, Simarjeet Singh (2/35) and Tejas Baroka (1/21) bowled with intent, but their efforts fell short against Rana’s onslaught.
