Naseem Shah Bowls His Most Expensive Spell in T20 History Against England

Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah delivered his most expensive spell in T20 history against England during the 4th T20 match on Thursday, May 30.

Naseem Shah conceded 51 runs in his four-over spell without taking any wickets at Kennington Oval. This performance raises concerns for Pakistan ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.

4-0-51-0 is Naseem Shah's most expensive bowling in his T20 career. Only 2nd time in career Naseem has conceded 50 or more runs in a T20 game after his 4-0-50-2 for Gloucestershire vs Middlesex in Vitality Blast 2022.

Naseem Shah missed the second T20 against England and was playing his first match since the Ireland series. However, he appeared completely out of form.

With Mohammad Amir making way for Naseem Shah in the fourth T20, it remains to be seen if Naseem will retain his place in Pakistan’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, given Amir’s superior experience.

As for the match, England successfully chased down the target of 158 runs in just 15.3 overs, winning by seven wickets and securing the four-match series 2-0, with the remaining two games washed out.
