Umpiring Call Changes the Game

The incident took place on the last ball of the 16th over. Dayyaan Galiem bowled a full toss, and Brevis hit it straight to the fielder at deep square leg. After reviewing the footage, the third umpire ruled it a no-ball, and Brevis got a free hit.

At that moment, Brevis was on 16 runs. After surviving, he made full use of the opportunity and hit a big six immediately. He continued his innings and played a crucial role in MI Cape Town’s batting.

MI Cape Town Posts a Big Total

After their dismissals, Brevis played an important innings, finishing unbeaten on 44 runs from 30 balls. Delano Potgieter also made a quick 32 runs to boost the total in the final overs.

For Paarl Royals, Dunith Wellalage was the best bowler, taking two wickets while giving away only 23 runs in his four overs. Bjorn Fortuin and Dayyaan Galiem picked up one wicket each, but the rest of the bowlers were expensive.
