Manoj Tiwary Names The Best XI of The Tournament, No Place For Virat Kohli And Kagiso Rabada
Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary have picked his best XI of the just-concluded Indian Premier League in which he didn't include Virat Kohli and purple cap holder Kagiso Rabada.
The Indian cricketer and veteran Manoj Tiwary have picked his best XI of the just-concluded Indian Premier League. Starting with openers, he picked Kings XI Punjab’s skipper KL Rahul, who is also the Orange cap winner of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. He accumulated 670 runs in just 14 games. Along with KL Rahul, Tiwary picked Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma, who won the fifth IPL title, beating Delhi Capitals in the final game of the cash-rich league.
At number three, Tiwary preferred Mumbai Indians’ most consistent player, Suryakumar Yadav. He performed so well elegantly throughout the tournament and has earned high praises from many cricket experts.
For number four, Manoj chose Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star player AB de Villiers, who once again justified his name ‘Mr 360’ by playing some mega shots in the just concluded league.
At number five and six, Manoj went for Mumbai Indians’ all-time favourite duo of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard. For number six, he went for Krunal Pandya. However, picking Krunal might raise some eyebrows on the veteran’s choice as Krunal Pandya was not in-form throughout the season and has scored only 109 runs and picked up six wickets in the tournament.
For bowling attack, Tiwary went with Rajasthan Royals Jofra Archer, Mumbai Indians’ Jasprit Bumrah and SunRisers Hyderabad’s T Natarajan.
Jofra Archer did great work with bat as well as the ball. He played 16 games and picked up 20 wickets at an economy of 6.55. Whereas Bumrah is the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 27 wickets in 15 games. T Natarajan is the emerging bowler of the tournament. He took 16 wickets in 16 games with an economy of 8.02. Surprisingly, he didn’t go with Kagiso Rabada, the purple cap winner of the tournament.
In the spin-department, Tiwary picked SunRisers Hyderabad’s Rashid Khan who picked up 20 wickets at an incredible economy rate of 5.37.

Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, AB de Villiers, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Rashid Khan, Jofra Archer, Jasprit Bumrah, T Natarajan
