Kolkata Knight Riders Retained Players List Ahead of IPL 2025 Mega Auction

Here are the top four players likely to be retained by KKR before IPL 2025 mega auction.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) finally won the IPL trophy in 2024 under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership. However, they will have a big task at their hands of releasing the majority of their players for their winning squad before the IPL 2025 mega auction.

In the meeting BCCI had with IPL owners last month, Kolkata Knight Riders expressed their frustration about having the mega auction in a three years cycle and rather demanded for a mega auction in every five years cycle. They would have preferred a mini option this time.

Let’s take a look at four players Kolkata Knight Riders are likely to retain ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction:

Shreyas Iyer:

Kolkata Knight Riders are going to retain Shreyas Iyer before the IPL 2025 mega option. He’s one of the best leaders around and did a great job last season. With his batting skills being on point, the team will see him as their long-term captain.

Varun Chakravarthy:

Varun Chakravarthy, with his unique spin style, has been a standout for KKR. He’s got a talent for confusing batsmen, which makes him a powerful player in T20 cricket. With his great wicket-taking ability and solid economy rate, he’s a key part of KKR’s bowling lineup.

Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh, who went from a local talent to a national sensation, has really caught the eye of cricket fans with his dramatic finishes. His impact goes beyond just batting, and KKR will definitely want to hold on to him for the future.

Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine is a long-time KKR favourite, known for his game-changing performances. His distinctive bowling and useful batting make him an essential part of the team. His experience and all-round skills mean KKR will definitely want to keep him.
