Kevin Pietersen Helps England in Taking Wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal on Day 2 of 1st IND vs ENG Test

Kevin Pietersen's pre-game prediction proves accurate as Yashasvi Jaiswal gets out to Root in the very first over of Day 2.

India opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal couldn’t capitalize on his promising start against England during Day 2 of the first Test in Hyderabad, as he was ousted by Joe Root, the former English captain and part-time spinner.

Meanwhile, right before Day 2 kicked off, ex-England cricketer Kevin Pietersen dropped a bomb on his X handle (formerly Twitter), nailing a spot-on prediction.

Pieterson called for Joe Root to start the morning session with a bowl, and the England team did exactly that, reaping the rewards as well.

The young left-handed batter managed to put India well ahead in the first Test after an impressive knock of 80 in just 74 deliveries. His knock was braced with 10 boundaries and three sixes.

Team India finished the second day in the driver’s seat with 421 runs on the board, having lost seven wickets. Ravindra Jadeja, unbeaten at 81, and Axar Patel, unbeaten at 35, will resume batting for India on the third day.
