Washington Sundar to stay with Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026.
Two of the biggest IPL trade rumours have finally come to rest. The much-talked-about moves of Washington Sundar to Chennai Super Kings and KL Rahul to Kolkata Knight Riders are now confirmed to be off the table.
According to a Cricbuzz report, Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra has made it clear that Washington Sundar is not available for any trade.
Chennai Super Kings were very keen to bring the all-rounder into their setup ahead of IPL 2026.
MS Dhoni was reportedly in favour of adding an off-spinner who could also strengthen the batting lineup. But Nehra’s response has ended all talks between the two teams.
The news comes as a blow for Chennai, who were hoping to rebuild their middle order around a quality Indian all-rounder. Sundar remains an important part of Gujarat’s plans and the franchise has no interest in letting him go.
