IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya, Tilak Varma Involved in Heated Exchange, Rohit Sharma Intervenes
Hardik Pandya had a heated exchange with Tilak Varma.
Following Mumbai Indians’ 10-run defeat to Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, tensions seem to be brewing within the team. Captain Hardik Pandya publicly criticized teammate Tilak Varma for his “lack of match awareness” during the match.
This has now been followed by an unverified Instagram post alleging a heated fight between the two players.
According to the instagram post, the argument was so intense that it required intervention from franchise owners and even former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. The alleged reason behind the fight is said to be Hardik Pandya‘s attitude towards Varma.
Given the lack of official confirmation, the details of the alleged fight remain purely speculative. Adding fuel to the fire, Mumbai Indians’ performance under Pandya’s leadership has been lackluster. They have only managed 3 wins out of 10 matches, and are languishing at the bottom of the points table.
