Mumbai Indians (MI) bowler Arjun Tendulkar exchanged intense looks with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Marcus Stoinis during the IPL 2024 match at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 17.
Arjun Tendulkar made his debut appearance in this season’s IPL, stepping in for the rested Jasprit Bumrah in the Mumbai Indians’ playing XI. Hardik Pandya handed over the new ball to junior Tendulkar as he came out to bowl the second over.
The 24-year-old came close to claiming his first wicket in his debut over when the on-field umpire adjudged Marcus Stoinis out LBW. However, Stoinis challenged the call with a DRS, resulting in the third umpire overturning the decision as the ball didn’t hit the stumps.
On the last ball of his over, Arjun Tendulkar unleashed a deceptive inswinger, and Stoinis defended it well. Arjun, in a lighthearted moment, mimicked a throw towards the stumps, drawing a chuckle from the LSG all-rounder. The footage quickly went viral on social media.

As for the match, it’s a dead rubber between the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants, both of whom are already out of the playoff race.
