SRH vs MI: In the 56th match of the 13th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 10 wickets. With this victory, Hyderabad secured their place in the playoffs. Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have already reached the playoffs. Along with this, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) knocked out of the league due to poor net run-rate.

Mumbai had given a target of 150 runs while losing the toss in the last match of the league stage in Sharjah. In response, Hyderabad scored 151 runs in 17.1 overs without losing any wickets. In the IPL, captain David Warner made his 48th and Wriddhiman Saha made his 8th IPL fifty. Warner scored 85 runs and Saha scored 58 runs.

Wriddhiman Saha and David Warner furnish a brilliant start to SRH innings. David Warner played shots carefully while Saha on the other end played some explosive shots and brought momentum to Hyderabad’s side in the power-play itself. Both the openers continue to bat until the end of the innings and led SRH to their crucial win. Wriddhiman Saha scored 58 of 45 deliveries whereas David Warner scored 85 off 58 deliveries.

Mumbai Scored 149 For 8 Wickets

Mumbai scored 149 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Kieron Pollard scored the most important 41 runs for the team. Suryakumar Yadav scored 36 and Ishaan Kishan scored 33 runs. At the same time, Hyderabad’s Sandeep Sharma got 3, Shahbaz Nadeem and Jason Holder got 2-2 wickets. Rashid Khan got one wicket.

Both Openers Depart’s Early

Mumbai did not get the type of start in the match they expected. Both openers Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock were returned to the pavilion in the first 5 overs. Rohit scored just 4 runs, while de Kock was dismissed for 25 runs. Both wickets were taken by Sandeep Sharma.

Krunal-Saurabh’s Flop Show

After the openers were dismissed early, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishaan Kishan took the innings further. Shahbaz Nadeem dismissed Suryakumar for 36 runs. After this, Nadeem showed the path to the pavilion to Krunal Pandya (0). Saurabh Tiwari (1) also could not do anything special and was out on Rashid Khan’s ball.

Bengaluru Will Face Bengaluru in The Eliminator

Now Hyderabad will face Bengaluru in the Eliminator in Abu Dhabi on 6 November. Before this, Mumbai and Delhi will lock horns in Qualifier-1 on 5 November in Dubai. The winning team will get straight into the finals. At the same time, the losing team will have to compete in qualifier-2 with the winner of the eliminator. The team that wins this match will reach the final.
