Bengaluru won the match by scoring 179 runs for 3 wickets in 19.4 overs. de Villiers made his team win the match by hitting a six. Gurkeerat Singh Mann also remained unbeaten at the score of 19 runs. Rajasthan’s Karthik Tyagi, Shreyas Gopal and Rahul Tewatia got 1-1 wicket.

Kohli-Padikkal Handled RCB Innings

RCB skipper Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal handled the innings after the early dismissal of Aaron Finch (14 runs). Both made a partnership of 79 runs for the second wicket to get the team out of trouble. Padikkal scored 35 and Kohli 43 runs in the match.

Earlier, Rajasthan scored 177 for 6 wickets. Steve Smith scored the highest for RR 57 runs with his 11th fifty in the IPL. Apart from Smith, Robin Uthappa scored 41 runs. Rahul Tewatia remained unbeaten after scoring 19 runs. Bengaluru’s Chris Morris got 4 and Yuzvendra Chahal got 2 wickets.

Rajasthan’s 50-Run Opening Partnership For The First Time in IPL 2020

Robin Uthappa, who started the innings in place of Jos Butler, struck a 50-run opening partnership with Ben Stokes. Stokes scored 15 runs and dismissed by Chris Morris. Earlier in the season, there was a 37-run opening partnership for Rajasthan against Delhi.

Rajasthan’s Innings Faltered After a Good Start

Uthappa and Stokes laid a good foundation for the innings, but the team could not take advantage of it. After Stokes, Robin Uthappa scored 41 runs and was dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal. On the next ball, Chahal showed Sanju Samson (9 runs) the path back to the pavilion.

This season, Rahul Tewatia of Rajasthan Royals has scored the most 14 sixes in Death Overs. At the same time, AB de Villiers of Bangalore and Kieron Pollard of Mumbai Indians are second in this list with 12-12 sixes.
