Chennai Super Kings star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has reached the UAE to play in the IPL 2020 via a chartered plane from Trinidad along with other IPL-bound players who were part of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He was welcomed here in an excellent manner. Bravo on Sunday shared a video in which he showed a glimpse of the hotel room, specially customised by the franchise as he arrived in the UAE for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Arriving in the UAE was very special for Bravo as his team Chennai Super Kings had prepared a special gift for him. They had prepared a miniature cricket stadium shaped cake for him. This video by Bravo is being well-liked on social media already. Not only Bravo, but fans of Chennai Super Kings are also very fond of it.
After arriving in the UAE, Dwayne Bravo will now be in the quarantine period for a week. Here he is congratulated brilliantly on completing 500 wickets in T20 cricket. Dwayne Bravo shared a video on his Instagram handle and wrote the caption “A Champion welcome!! Mr 500 @Chennaiipl great to be back again @iplt20 #UAE #4DWIN “
In the Caribbean Premier League itself, Bravo achieved the feat of taking 500 wickets in T20 cricket by dismissing Rahkeem Cornwall against St. Lucia Zouks. No bowler has taken 500 wickets before him. Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Lasith Malinga is the second-highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket, taking 390 wickets. Sunil Narine is third in this case, who has 383 wickets in his account. At the same time, Imran Tahir has taken a total of 374 T20 wickets and is at number four in this list. At number five is Sohail Tanvir of Pakistan, who has taken 356 T20 wickets.
Meanwhile, the likes of Imran Tahir and Mitchell Santner has also arrived in Dubai on Saturday to join the CSK camp. The experienced spinners will be key to CSK’s campaign in IPL 2020 in the absence of veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh who pulled out from IPL 2020, citing personal reasons.
Now all 3 players need to complete the mandatory isolation period and then return two negative Covid-19 tests before joining the rest of the squad.
CSK will open their IPL 2020 campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders have posted photos of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine arriving in the UAE to join their camp ahead of IPL 2020. Mumbai Indians would have welcomed their premier all-rounder and CPL-winning captain, Pollard, to the camp in the UAE.
