World’s number one T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav, reached 100 sixes during the third T20I between India and West Indies, which the former won by seven wickets at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
The stylish right-handed batter achieved this feat in his 49th innings, placing him as the second-fastest to reach the milestone, just behind West Indies’ Evin Lewis who did it in 42 innings.
Coming to bat at number 3, he hammered a boundary and a six on his first two balls. Soon, he completed his half-century in just 23 deliveries, setting a new record as the quickest Indian player to notch 100 sixes in T20Is.
He achieved this landmark in just 49 innings, leaving the second-best performer, Rohit Sharma, who reached it in 84 innings, far behind. Furthermore, he secures the title of the third fastest batter to hit 100 T20I sixes in terms of the number of balls faced.
Suryakumar Yadav smashed 83 runs from only 44 deliveries, hitting four boundaries and launching ten sixes, propelling India to a comfortable victory. Apart from him, Tilak Varma also impressed with an unbeaten 49 from 37 balls.
