After dismissing UAE for just 57, captain Suryakumar Yadav’s side chased down the target in just 4.3 overs. The record surpassed India’s previous best of 81 balls remaining against Scotland in the 2021 T20 World Cup, also played in Dubai.

Abhishek Sharma led the charge at the top with 30 off 16 balls, smashing two fours and three sixes before falling to Junaid Siddique. Shubman Gill provided quick support with 20 from nine deliveries, and together the pair put up a 48-run stand that sealed the game within minutes.

India’s win now stands above their other one-sided finishes, including victories with 64 balls left against Bangladesh at the 2023 Hangzhou Games and 59 balls against UAE at Mirpur in 2016.
