IND vs PAK: Haris Rauf Sparks Controversy with Shocking 6-0 Gesture at Indian Fans

Haris Rauf taunts Indian fans with 6-0 gesture in Asia Cup 2025, reacts to Kohli chants at Dubai.

In the Asia Cup 2025 match between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 21, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf drew attention for a controversial gesture. While fielding near the boundary ropes, Rauf was seen making a 6-0 gesture to Indian fans.

The 6-0 gesture refers to Pakistan’s claims that they downed six Indian fighter jets during the four-day clash following Operation Sindoor. Videos and pictures of Rauf’s gesture quickly went viral on social media.

On the field, Pakistan failed to defend their total of 171 runs and lost to India by six wickets. Rauf bowled four overs and picked up two wickets for 26 runs.

He opened his account by dismissing Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for a three-ball duck and later took Sanju Samson’s wicket. Surya was caught by Abrar Ahmed on the third ball of the 11th over, while Samson had scored 13 runs from 17 balls before being dismissed.

Indian fans at the stadium did not hold back. They teased Rauf with chants of ‘Virat Kohli’ even though Kohli was not playing in the Super 4s match.

The reference comes from the 2022 T20 World Cup in Melbourne when Kohli had hit Rauf for two back-to-back sixes.
