On Day 3 of the first Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru, Indian captain Rohit Sharma faced a shocking moment that cut short a promising innings. After India’s disastrous first-innings collapse, where they managed only 46 runs, much relied on Rohit to stabilize the batting lineup. He reached a well-earned half-century, but his innings ended in an unfortunate way.
Just after the Tea break, India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had formed a solid 72-run partnership with Rohit. At that point, the team showed signs of recovery, making Rohit’s dismissal a heavy blow.
