India all-rounder Hardik Pandya and England all-rounder Sam Curran were involved in a heated argument during India vs England 2nd ODI in Pune on Friday. Notably, Hardik’s brother, Krunal and Sam Curran’s brother, Tom Curran were involved in a similar incident in the last game between the two sides.
After winning the toss once again, England offered Virat Kohli and Co. to bat first. Both the openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma could not go big in this game and were dismissed cheaply. However, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli provided stability to the Indian innings to stitch together a century partnership. Later, Rishabh Pant batted brilliantly and played a whirlwind knock of 77 runs off just 40 balls. Pant raced away to his fifty off just 28 balls as he laid the foundation for India’s big total.
The English bowlers were already under immense pressure and Hardik Pandya only added salt to their misery. Even Sam Curran had to face the wrath of the duo as they took him to the cleaners in the 46th over. Hardik Pandya smacked him for two maximums and Pant hit a single-handed six in the over, and if the former had connected his wild slog off the last ball, it could’ve been worse for the left-handed bowler.
However, an interesting incident occurred between Hardik Pandya and Sam Curran in the 46th over of the game. Hardik Pandya and Sam Curran were involved in a verbal battle with each other after the latter had yorked Hardik on the last delivery of the over.

Team India Cruise To A Giant Total As KL Rahul And Rishabh Pant Wreck Havoc
India batsman KL Rahul displayed his top-game and smashed a sensational century. It was Rahul’s first ODI century against England and second at home. He was under immense pressure ahead of the ODI leg as he had a disappointing T20I series.
Rahul scored 108 from 114 deliveries, including seven fours and two sixes, before Tom Curran dismissed him in the 45th over.
Apart from Rahul, captain Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya also shined with the bat. Kohli smashed 66 from 79 balls, while Pant slammed 77 off just 40 deliveries.
Pant scored runs at a phenomenal strike-rate of 192.50, hitting three fours and seven humungous maximums. Hardik also played a cameo of 16-ball 35 to take India to 336/6 in their allotted 50 overs.
