The fourth Test will begin on July 23 at Old Trafford in Manchester, with England currently leading the five-match series 2-1.

The 35-year-old all-rounder last played a Test for England in July 2017. While he hasn’t been part of England’s Test squad since, Dawson has continued to deliver for Hampshire in the County Championship and recently played a T20I against West Indies in June 2025.

Dawson will replace Shoaib Bashir, who fractured his left little finger during the third Test at Lord’s. Bashir bowled the final over of the match and took the last wicket to seal a thrilling 22-run win for England.
