IND vs ENG: Jasprit Bumrah Spotted Having Animated Conversation With Indian Coaches
Bumrah caught in heated chat with Gambhir, Morkel as India struggle with ball in 4th Test vs England.
India’s bowling crisis in the fourth Test against England took a dramatic turn on Day 3 when Jasprit Bumrah was seen having an intense conversation with head coach Gautam Gambhir and bowling coach Morne Morkel before play began.
Bumrah, visibly agitated, appeared to be leading a strategy huddle with both coaches. His animated gestures and stern expressions quickly drew attention, with cameras locked in on the fiery exchange. It was clear from his body language that India’s pace spearhead was frustrated.
England Pile On Runs, Bumrah Left Alone To Fight
England crossed 500 in their first innings and secured a lead of 186 runs. Joe Root smashed his 38th Test century, passing legends like Dravid, Kallis and Ponting on the all-time Test run chart.
But India’s bowlers had no answers, and Bumrah seemed to be carrying the load alone.
Former India coach Ravi Shastri, on air during the telecast, weighed in on Bumrah’s frustration.
“It creates pressure on him. He was in control, but when the others are leaking runs at nearly 6 per over, it eventually takes a toll, even if you’re the best bowler in the world,” Shastri said.
The match slipped further away from India when Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett smashed 166 runs in just 34.4 overs to open England’s reply. India’s bowling looked toothless, with little support for Bumrah from the other end.
While it’s not unusual to see Bumrah take the lead in team discussions, the animated chat with Gambhir and Morkel has fans wondering if there’s deeper unrest in the camp as India try to claw back into the Test.
