IND vs ENG: ‘ECB Is At Fault’ – Venkatesh Prasad Exposes England Over Shoaib Bashir Visa Issue

Venkatesh Prasad, the ex-Indian fast bowler, strongly criticised the England Cricket Board and English media for adopting a victim mentality and engaging in accusatory behaviour regarding Shoaib Bashir‘s visa problems.
Shoaib Bashir, a 20-year-old cricketer from England with Pakistani roots, had to leave the team’s Abu Dhabi training camp early due to unresolved visa issues, preventing him from joining the squad for the upcoming Test series in India.
The English media is strongly condemning the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian government, alleging racism against Shoaib Bashir because of his Pakistani heritage and the unresolved visa situation.
Contrary to initial assumptions, it has been revealed that the hindrance preventing Shoaib Bashir from accompanying the England team to India was not an India-related mistake but rather an issue with the England Cricket Board.
Taking to Twitter, here’s what Venkatesh Prasad has written:
“His visa needed to be stamped in the UK. The ECB sent Shoaib Bashir to the UAE, thinking it would be stamped in a third country. Not following basic procedures, assuming things and then crying foul is an old English way. If anyone, it is the ECB at fault.”
